Hispanic Heritage month is September 15 - October 15.
Tell us about a famous Hispanic. What is his/her area of expertise (music, film, sports,politics etc.)? What are his/her most notable accomplishments?
Miguel de Cervantes was a famous writer from Spain. He wrote the book called Don Quijote. Don Quijote is a story about a man who went on crazy adventures and it is up to the reader to decide if he has gone mad or if he is just ill. He had a side kick, Sancho Panza, who isn't too bright. The two of them always get into trouble. In one adventure, Don Quijote thought that an inn was a castle and he asked the owner to dub him a knight and Sancho Panza became his squire. Together, they went on adventures to do knightly things like finding a maiden and fighting off giants (which are really windmills!).

The person i am doing is Shakira.Shakira is a colombian singer,songwriter, dancer and much more.Shakira first debut album, magia was recorded with sony music columbian when she was only 13 years old. the songs on her album where made by her since she was 8 years old. and thats her her career all started.

ReplyDeleteWhen I researched famous hispanics i thought that Francina Díaz Mestre would be intreasting because she is a famous hispanic model and I like modeling. Francina Díaz Mestre is a catwalk and photographic model, she worked in Spain in the 1960's and 70's. and in 1980 opened the first modeling school! After that, she became a successful model, and business woman with her school and agency.They were her most notable accomplishments!

ReplyDeleteAlex Rodriguez also known as A-Rod is a baseball player determined to succeed. He signed a $252 million contract in 2001 and became known as baseball’s "quarter-billion-dollar superstar". Rodriquez faced many obstacles during his career, but he didn't care about what people said because he had a passion for baseball. he became the American League batting champion, hitting .358 with 35 HR and 123 RBIs. He also led the American League in runs scored (141), doubles (54) and total bases (379) and was selected to his first All-Star Game.
ReplyDeletePau Gesol is famous basketball player. He have been joining the basketball team called "Lakers". When he was sixteen he began playing basketball with his school team called "Alvirne". His team's victory have titled him as a "Most Valuable Person". In 2001, he was drafted to the NBA and starting his career as a basketball player in Lakers.
ReplyDeleteMartín Gramática is a famous football player. He is only an American Place kicker, but he is talented. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round, in the 1999 draft. he played college football at Kansas state. He played with the Buccaneers, Colts, Patriots, Cowboys, and the Saints. He most notable accomplishment was being apart of the 2010, Saints Superbowl team.
