Hispanic Heritage month is September 15 - October 15.
Tell us about a famous Hispanic. What is his/her area of expertise (music, film, sports,politics etc.)? What are his/her most notable accomplishments?
Miguel de Cervantes was a famous writer from Spain. He wrote the book called Don Quijote. Don Quijote is a story about a man who went on crazy adventures and it is up to the reader to decide if he has gone mad or if he is just ill. He had a side kick, Sancho Panza, who isn't too bright. The two of them always get into trouble. In one adventure, Don Quijote thought that an inn was a castle and he asked the owner to dub him a knight and Sancho Panza became his squire. Together, they went on adventures to do knightly things like finding a maiden and fighting off giants (which are really windmills!).

George Lopez was born April 23, 1961 in Mission Hills, Los Angeles, California. He is most famous for his self-produced ABC sitcom George Lopez. He also hosts his own talk show, Lopez tonight, until it was canceled August 12, 2011. He was the first Latino to have headlined the keystone morning radio slot on an English-language station in LA — the nation’s top radio market.

But she is also known for her clothes line, amazing artwork, charity events, musical talents, and multiple books. She has accomplished so much in her life so far, even though she dropped out of school at the age of 14 and moved out to LA. She pursued her dream to give the positive aspect of tattooing and definitely accomplished her goals.

ReplyDeleteHe is The King of Latin Pop and The King of Dance according to Billboards. Enrique Iglesias, full name; Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler is my famous Hispanic Musician. Iglesias was born in Madrid, Spain. He was raised by the family nanny. He attended Gulliver Preparatory School and went on to study business at the University of Miami. On July 12,1995 , Iglesias released his first album titled Enrique Iglesias, a collection of light rock ballads, including such mega-hits as "Si Tú Te Vas", "Experiencia Religiosa", and others. The record sold half a million copies in its first week, a rare accomplishment then, for an album recorded in a language other than English. One of my favorite songs of his is Tonight (I'm Lovin' You). He has accomplished many things and has inspired many. The best part is the fact that he's not only talented but he's also attractive.
ReplyDeleteUnknown by many people Charlie Sheen was born Carlos Irwin Estevez. Sheen took on his father's stage name to get noticed in the acting business. after being in many famous movies such as "Wallstreet", "Scary Movie 3", and "The Shadow Conspiracy." For most of the series sheen starred on the show 2 and A Half Men until he got into a dispute with the producers. This caused him to be fired from the show and ultimately led to his downward spiral. His most recent television appearance was The Roast of Charlie Sheen which in my opinion was a lot better than the first Sheen-less episode of 2 and A Half Men.

Llandel Veguilla Malavé Salazar also known as Yandel is a famous singer that works with his partner named Wisin in Puerto Rico. They started their career together in 1998 and received many awards after that. The biggest accomplishments I would say they had was becoming famous and being around famous artist like Ricky Martin. I personally like their music.
